Our Approach: Research

Overview

INI's major theory-building goals are:

  • to define the underlying causes and impact of emotions on parties;
  • to develop strategies that direct emotions toward constructive ends at the interpersonal, group, and institutional levels; and
  • to test these strategies in real-world contexts and to modify them accordingly.
